Data deletion
You can ask us to delete your Spegla account, and the personal data that goes with it, at any time. There are two ways to ask.
Option 1 — email us
Email privacy@klura.app from the address you sign in with, and ask us to delete your account. We confirm that we have your request, and complete it within one month.
Option 2 — through Facebook
The Spegla app signs you in with an email code and doesn't offer Facebook sign-in today. If it does, and you connect Spegla to your Facebook account, you can remove it there:
- 1Go to
Settings > Apps and Websites. - 2Find "Spegla" in the list of apps, and open it.
- 3Click "Remove" and confirm.
You then come back to this page with a reference code. Email it to us, and we complete the request as in option 1.
What happens next
We reply to confirm we have your request, and we delete your account within one month. From then on your devices can no longer find each other through it, and none of them shows as online. You can create a new account later with the same email address; it starts empty.
What we delete
- Your account record and email address.
- Your sign-in identities and signed-in sessions.
- The sign-in log entries that hold your email address and IP address. We delete them after the account itself.
- All your devices and what we store about them (name, platform, key, online status).
- Your session requests.
What we keep
Nothing linked to your account stays in our database. Server logs expire on their own within 14 days, our sign-in provider's service logs, which hold your email address and IP address, within 1 day, and our database's backups roll over within 7 days. Analytics events and error reports carry no identifier, so they can't be matched to you. The logs and crash reports the app keeps on your computers stay there unless you send them to us, and the app deletes them once they are 7 days old, the next time Spegla runs.
How the callback works
Removing Spegla in your Facebook settings sends our callback (/api/data-deletion/callback) a signed request. We check the signature and answer with the address of this page and your reference code, which Facebook shows you. The exchange follows Meta's Data Deletion Request Callback specification.
